On the morning of June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court voted to overturn 1973’s Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional right to an abortion and transferring to the states the decision on the legality of abortion access. And I am infuriated. Disgusted.
We’ve been fighting for our rights for centuries, we could get some little progress and boom… This fascist Supreme Court rips us apart.
If you are in the New England area, immediately after the Supreme Court decision, Governor Charlie Baker signed an executive order to protect access to reproductive health care services in the state. Other states are working on similar action or already have protections in place, such as Vermont, Rhode Island, California, and Illinois.
Please, give yourself a moment to breathe, grieve, and let’s keep fighting.
